Discovering the secrets to learning a foreign language is like trying to find the fountain of youth. It's a myth, a ploy to get you to buy into a new language software program or DVD pack or join a course, or whatnot. It’s all about the mo-ney. It’s like Leo, the leader of the Scorpions in the movie “Grease”, said,
“Rules are, there ain't no rules.” (PLAY THE QUOTE BELOW)
Actually it has nothing to do with what Leo the Scorpion said. I just wanted to put that quote in there randomly.
In the case of language learning, "truth is the truth just doesn't sell". Benny Lewis, a self-proclaimed polyglot (a speaker of multiple languages) and blogger at fluentin3months.com, tells us what it really takes to learn a language, and it’s no secret to anyone who's already been there: time, hard work, dedication and motivation. Without these essential ingredients, your language learning journey is going to take longer, be more frustrating and definitely less rewarding.
